Well, they have lost their range-fire altogether so their AA abilities are limited to short range. But they have obtained 3 things in return:
1) Building Sea Planes. Well, the Aircraft Carrier can't build more than 4, and each one costs an extra 15000G. But what you do get is units based on Attackers, although their Fuel is absurdly low.
2) THE best thing about the AWDoR Aircraft Carrier if you ask me: the ability to let Loaded units move and perform commands as if unloaded. Now the units can't do this if the Aircraft Carrier has already moved, but they can use the Launch command to move off and do something like attacking. They even get to move full distance. Just be aware that the unit can't do this if it has already moved. Still, this is an interesting spin on the transport rules used in Game Boy Wars 3. Just remember: only the Aircraft Carrier can do this. But still, it's a good idea.
3) Of course, the Aircraft Carrier gets to repair each air unit at 2 HPs per turn. Which is what should have been done in the first place.
