Sorry for double-posting, but I just had to tell you guys about this! I put in the exact set-up I suggested, chose Lash/Sonja for the OS Team, set the controls to all CPU, and let this battle play out. I put the DS on a charger, left it on, and took a nap, thinking it would be finished by then. I awoke TWO HOURS LATER to find that all the forces were STILL GOING AT IT! Not one Army was defeated, and the battle raged on for 85 days! (Cause at that point, I figured it would be a non-ending battle, so I turned it off.)
